INTERVALS SUCCESS: There was a small but appreciative crowd last night at Intervals, the quarterly poetry reading series, held at Horizon Theatre in Little Five Points. The Jennifer Perry Combo and I did a tight set featuring work from Better To Travel and classic jazz like "To Hell With Love," "Cry Me A River," "Black Coffee" and "Fever." It was such a relief and a thrill to do the set the way it is supposed to be done in front of an audience. Many thanks to Sandra Rouse for her support. Also thanks to my pals Cecilia Woloch and Louise Runyon (two great poets) for coming out. I also ran into Ruth Windham and Lisa Allender, who invited me to come up and read this Sunday at her open mic at Barnes & Noble in Norcross. Thanks, Lisa. See you Sunday.

OPEN MIC REMINDER: I sent out an email today reminding everyone of the Open Mic at Barnes & Noble @ Georgia Tech on Friday, Sept. 12. Sign up begins at 7 p.m.and readings at 7:30 p.m. Jennifer will be on hand with husband Denton for a stripped down JP Combo to back me up on reading poems from Better To Travel. Afterwards there will be an autographing session.

CREATIVE LOAFING ARTICLE: Creative Loafing's Tray Butler did a wonderful article about Better To Travel in the Sept. 4 edition of the magazine. Here is the link to read the story. I'll be posting it on the website www.collinkelley.com soon. Thanks again, Tray!
